Balayage

Hand-painted colour that grows out softly, with no harsh regrowth line.

Balayage is colour painted freehand onto the hair, rather than placed in foils from the root. The result is brightness where light would naturally hit, a soft blend at the root, and a grow-out that still looks intentional months later. It suits dark hair especially well, warming it to caramel, honey or bronze without stripping its depth.

Long or very thick hair is priced separately, since it takes more time and product.

What to expect

• A short consult on tone, placement and maintenance, with photos if you have them
• Hand-painting section by section, then processing
• A toner to set the final shade, then a wash and blow-dry
• Plan on about three hours in the chair

Before your appointment

• Come with clean, dry hair, with no heavy oils or styling products
• Bring two or three photos of looks you like, and one you don't
• If your hair has box dye or henna, tell us when you book

Aftercare

• Wait at least 48 hours before your first wash, ideally 72
• Use a sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner to protect the tone
• Book a toner or gloss refresh every 6 to 8 weeks if you like it bright

Questions

Will it damage my hair? Lightening always changes the hair. We keep it gentle by lifting only where the colour is painted, and can add a bond treatment if your hair needs it.

How long does it last? The colour grows out softly, so most people come back every 3 to 4 months.

Why does long or very thick hair cost more? It takes noticeably more time and product.
