Ubtan is the paste that has gone on brides across South Asia for generations, mixed in a bowl the morning it is needed. We have not improved on it. We have just measured it properly and sourced it well.
Chickpea flour does the work, colloidal oatmeal softens it, and sandalwood and rose carry the scent of the thing itself rather than anything added. Turmeric is kept deliberately low, because you have places to be afterwards.
It arrives as a dry powder, so there is nothing in it to preserve: no water, no preservatives, no added fragrance. You mix what you need and the rest stays exactly as it was.
Cicer Arietinum (Chickpea) Seed Flour, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Flour, Rosa Damascena Flower Powder, Santalum Album (Sandalwood) Wood Powder, Curcuma Longa (Turmeric) Root Powder, Crocus Sativus (Saffron) Flower.
Patch test before first use. For external use only. Avoid the eye area. Stop use if irritation occurs. Keep out of reach of children. May briefly tint skin, towels and clothing. Keep dry, and do not reintroduce water into the jar.
This is a pre-order. Your $20 deposit holds one unit from our first production run and comes off your final price. We expect to ship in April 2027. If we are more than 30 days late you can cancel for a full refund. Your deposit is refundable at any time before shipping: just reply to your order confirmation email.
